Designing and visualising space through human-centered stage, furniture and interior design
Gülçin Aydıngün is an interior architect who completed her B.A. (2018) and M.F.A. (2024) in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Bilkent University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Ankara, Turkey. Her master’s thesis, “Exploring the Poka-Yoke Concept as an Extended Usability Criterion for Age-Friendly Kitchen Design,” focused on usability and user-centered design. Between 2022 and 2024, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at Bilkent University, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, supporting courses in Technical Drawing, Design Graphics, and Construction and Materials, and providing academic mentoring, drawing studio support and exam proctoring. She also completed an office internship at Lineadecor and a construction site internship at Beysu Konakları, a residential project developed by Köroğlu İnşaat. She currently works as a Computational Interior Architect (CGI) at an Opera Stage Acoustics, Arts and Technology company operating in Turkey and Uzbekistan. Gülçin is the author of two peer-reviewed book chapters published in 2024 by Springer Nature Singapore in Sustainability in Energy and Buildings 2023. One chapter focuses on identifying the importance levels of green retrofit features in existing university science laboratories.The other chapter addresses energy-related occupant behavior in office buildings through a motivation-driven framework.
